I have absolutely no earthly need of a microscope, but the 7 year old in me wants to go buy one of those immediately just to look at salt crystals and bugs.
That magnetic kit from iFixit has been on my wishlist for a few years now. I have to restrain myself from making the one at work disappear accidentally.
