PROJECTIONS, Episode 31: Windows Mixed Reality Review

  1. Good review! I could see this being really useful for traveling demos to reduce the amount of stuff you have to haul around and you are not as invested in a single location as you would be with sensor and camera setup for Vive or Oculus.

  2. I haven’t kept up with the VR space for a while, but I think you should be more specific when talking about inside-out tracking systems that require references (e.g. Lighthouses, QR codes, Wii ‘Sensor’ Bar) and those that don’t use markers. To me just saying it has ‘inside-out tracking’ doesn’t mean much.

Again, I’m not sure of the current terminology used in the VR space that can easily make the distinction.
