PROJECTIONS, Episode 27: Windlands 2, Space Junkies Hands-On
Jeremy and Norm go hands-on with upcoming VR games Windlands 2 and Space Junkies, interview the developers of these games, and share their impressions. We’re impressed by the polished and fluid movement mechanic Windlands 2, and are intrigued by the combat and weapon design of Space Junkies.

there is a ton of ECHO on this video
I love it when you actually take the time to cover games, I really wish it wasn’t only when there is a (usually occulus) event as it just makes your coverage seem really lopsided towards particularly hardware that spends the cash on PR events and hardware in general rather than the really great software out there. While the hardware is cool, it’s the software that is doing the job of making the ecosystem develop in a lot of ways.
In particular there are a lot of up and coming independent games in VR that have spent months in development, shown real progress, are pretty groundbreaking and you never talk about them. For example a comparison of the FPS/Gun Handling games like H3VR, Pavlov, Onward, BAM etc or looking at games for their exercise value, or games that have the best multiplayer experience. Lots of stuff I and I’m sure a lot of readers would like to see covered as for non VR owners the hardware coverage is interesting, but doesn’t really show you what VR is like, and for VR owners it would be interesting to see whats going on in the market and if there is anything they are missing.
sorry about that, fixed and reuploaded a new version!
That’s good feedback. I just wish we had more time!
