No. We are not changing the day-to-day format of the site, nor are we moving any existing content franchises or videos behind a paywall. If you don't want to pay for Tested content, your experience will remain the same as it is today. We created the subscription plan because we have great ideas for new additional content, and we need audience support to develop and produce the ideas.
Our premium features include exclusive monthly emails, members-only content and more. That's what we're ready to announce right now, but we've got loads of ideas for ways to further enhance the premium membership in the future and will be constantly trying out new shows, features, and one-time events to find out what our premium members like best. When we roll out new updates and features for premium members, we'll let you know by posting on the homepage and sending you a private message on Tested.

Costs will never increase in the middle of any subscription term. As is the case with inflation, if our costs increase, we may increase the cost of a membership. If costs increase, we'll notify you via email and private message on Tested prior to renewing your subscription at the new rate.
Both subscriptions offer access to premium member-exclusive content and Tested sans banner ads and site skins. The main difference between the two is cost. Our annual subscription is discounted 30% compared to 12 months of the month-to-month plan. The annual subscription also includes a $15 coupon that you can use in the Tested store.
Sorry, but we don't offer gift subscriptions at this time. Stay tuned, though, as we are working diligently to bring gift subscriptions back as soon as possible.
If you've had all the awesome exclusive Tested content you need, you can cancel your account by going to the “Subscription” tab on your profile and selecting “Cancel.” Future billing will be cancelled immediately and your access to exclusive videos and a bunch of other awesome stuff will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.
Subscriptions go into effect immediately after payment is received and processed.
We're planning on doing about 50 premium member-exclusive content pieces (mostly video) per year. That means we'll post something new almost every week. You'll also get a special monthly email from Jamie, Adam, Will or Norm. The content of this email is separate from the standard Tested newsletter that is available to all users.
Your membership will fund these videos directly. Expect us to start with a bunch of experimental videos to see what you guys like, including several different Q&A formats, as well as things like Model Building Afternoons, where Norm and Will will build a model during a live event, and take questions from premium members as they build and the Unauthorized Movie Commentary. Adam, Will, and Norm love the movie commentaries on DVDs and Blu-ray discs, so they've decided to make their own commentaries for movies they love (as well as a handful of films that Adam worked on). We'll deliver these in video and audio formats, so you can download them and watch them in your living room, while you watch the same movie we do.
We're going to do some sort of premium content 50 weeks a year. We're planning on taking the week between Christmas and New Year off as well as one other week to be determined in the future. Don't worry though, we'll post something extra-juicy the week before we plan an off week.
No. We wouldn't do that. It's just another way for one of us to share stuff that we think is cool, but may be off topic or inappropriate for the site.

We'll remove all of the ads that we can, using the technology available to us today. For right now, that means you won't see any banner ads or site skins on Tested. You will continue to see right-column promos for appearances by Jamie & Adam and Will & Norm, since people seem to like them. While premium members-only videos won't include advertisements, the other videos we post on the site may, since they're hosted by YouTube or the AOL On player. Videos we embed from other sites (because we think they're cool or awesome) may include ads as well.
Yes. Since our premium video content is only available to our members, we are using a player that allows us to keep each premium video free of advertising. The rest of the videos on the site may continue to display ads though, because we use YouTube or the AOL player to host them.
Tested.com subscriptions are accessible on desktop and laptop computers, smartphones, and tablets.
For the convenience of our members, monthly members' credit cards will be automatically billed in 30-day intervals at the beginning of each pay period starting from the date of sign up. Annual members' credit cards will be billed every 12 months from the date of sign up. To access your billing information or to update your credit card, go to the “Subscription” tab on your Profile.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB and Diner's Club.
For your convenience, subscriptions automatically renew -- and your credit card is automatically charged -- at the end of the term. Renewals continue until the user cancels his/her subscription.
If you do not wish for your subscription to renew, go to the “Subscription” tab on your Profile and select “Cancel.” Future billing will be cancelled immediately and your access to exclusive videos and a bunch of other awesome stuff will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.
We do not offer refunds for either subscription plan. However, if you are currently an annual subscription holder and your credit card gets billed for the next 12-month cycle, you have 30 days from the date of the renewal to cancel and get a full refund. To cancel and receive your refund, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep in mind that in order to receive a refund, you cannot use the $15 store credit which comes with each annual subscription renewal. Use of the store credit after the renewal automatically makes the subscription non-refundable.
Your refund should take no longer than 7 business days to be processed and for the amount to be refunded to your bank or credit card account. If for some reason the refund does not appear within 7 business days, please contact customer service at email@example.com.
Absolutely not. Each annual subscription and subsequent renewal comes with a $15 credit towards anything in the Tested store. Once you have subscribed or renew your annual subscription, we will email you a unique promotional code for $15 off anything in the Tested store. The coupons do not expire.
No. You can only use one code per purchase at the Tested store.
