Tested in 2019: Kishore’s Favorite Things!

Kishore’s favorite things list is wide-ranging, from an essential piece of cosplay tech to science books to robotics kits to build with your kids. But the things that made the biggest difference in his life this past year are related to, shall we say, waste management.

  1. Bidets are wonderful. I buy toilet paper twice a year, the Toto toilets that only use half a gallon per flush actually work and I haven’t needed a plumber in ages.

  2. if not clear by my comment about the app, the WiFi is not needed at all. Lots of people selled used ones too. I got mine for <$400 and while expensive, still worth it for the convenience and lack of smell around the house.

  3. Thanks! The app reminder would be nice since I don’t really mind cleaning the cat box but it still lands in the area of “I should probably clean that…tomorrow”.

  4. Bidets are great to have. Did you know that Japanese man made this product and refined it over time so that it can be added any existing toilet? I have 2 and I love it.

  5. How long does the cold water last in those vests? It would be awesome to have in the summer just for walking around.

  6. Kishore, thanks for the recommendations!

Honestly, i have been close to getting a bidet for some time after visiting Japan. So this just closed the lid on that one, if you will forgive the pun. I will be picking one up soon.

  7. My kids and I spent a month in Indonesia visiting Kid 1 (Peace Corp teacher at the time) and produced a comprehensive ranking of bum hoses, the Indonesian version of the bidet (at 10 was the ArseBlaster 3000 which was an unforgettable toilet at a small resort on the un-fashionable side of Bali). Although I’m still not a fan of the squatty-potty, I was definitely converted to the less enthusiastic range of bum hoses.
