2001: A Space Odyssey Moon-Watcher and Bone Replica!

Adam Savage shares two pieces of his collection from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The first is a replica mask of the moon-watcher ape from the beginning of the film, lovingly made by veteren effects artist Steve Neill using the same techniques that Stuart Freeborn invented for the original costume. And accompanying moon-watcher is a perfect replica of the bone he throws in the film’s iconic smash-cut shot, which Adam and other prop makers have obsessed over identifying as based on a real animal bone. This prop replica was made by Steve Radtke of Valor Replicas: https://www.valorreplicas.com/
