Thanks for answering Adam! As soon as your described 99% Invisible I instantly subscribed, sounds amazing! Also Jack Zacher is my real name 🙂
I had imagined Adam would be heavily into movie soundtracks while he works.
There’s something that I’ve picked up on watching our local weekly “how to” home shows on FTA tv.
What I call proceedural music. It’s just background tracks when the host is doing a montage of steps.
But I’ve found Spanish Guitar, Euro electro to elevator music, I’m fussy on that last one. But a little Bossa Nova never hurt anyone !

If you are able to in the US, please try The Infinite Monkey cage on BBC radio 4. A mixture of scientists and comedians talking about some of the big questions (including when is a strawberry really dead) deeply thought provoking and absurdly funny at the same time. They have done some great live shows from the glastonbury festival and It’s helped spawn the blue dot music and science festival at jodrell bank
I’ve always got time for 99 Percent Invisible and BBC In Our Time podcasts. brilliant. I think you would like In Our Time… and I apologise if you run down their 10 year catalogue as i did…..
Out of all the tools your currently own, which one do you both want out of your life, but also can’t seem to let go of?

You talk about learning new skills ever now and then. You have a passion for billiards. Learning the angles and strategy. You just talked about watching chess players on YouTube and teaching your sons how to play. Have you ever learned how to solve a Rubik’s Cube? Have you ever solved one whether you’ve learned the algorithms or not?
