Adam Savage Live Q&A (Sept. 7, 2020)

On Monday, Adam was going to do a live build, but he couldn’t find his kit(s), so the live stream turned into a Q&A: everything from funny stories about Grant, to how to remove rust, to whether Mrs. Donttrythis liked her watering can. Also: a sneak peek of a VERY EXCITING NEW BUILD! (Full live stream video here for Tested members!)

  1. So now we’re putting content that was previously posted on Youtube, i.e. full Q&A vids, behind a paywall that can only be accessed by a small, rapidly dwindling group of users. This is something you explicitly promised not to do when launching Premium content originally. Premium would only be for new series or content types.

Personally, I popped by the Q&A as it was in progress, but had to drop back out, figuring it was no big deal, as all previous ones have been posted on the channel eventually.

It really seems you’ve lost the plot with your content strategy, and about high time you actually respond to some of the concerns from your announcement.

  2. I’d say that I’ve probably been one of the more annoyingly positive posters on this site for the past eight years. I’ve defended pretty much every move the crew has made since the beginning. This Premium debacle is the first time I think I’ve complained about anything on Tested besides the forum spam.

  3. Looks like your membership lapsed, as you don’t have a Premium avatar-badge. The only people who are currently able to view Premium content are the people who renewed or signed up between September 2019 and February 2020 (i.e. whose year of membership is still active). If you think this applies to you, I’d email supportfor assistance.
