Anyone else slightly bothered by the camera angle shift? throwing me off guys
Ive always said, track the camera the other way if anything so we at least get a 45 degree look at Norm! He wouldnt have to turn to the camera so much to include the audience then…just sayin…
Just wanted to note that the oculus does have a removable cable. The connector looks proprietary, but it is removable.
I would like to have the wi-fi lock and camera on a box or container by my front door. That would make me more comfortable than letting someone in the front door.
Is STD formatted for TV with commercial breaks?
That’s how it’s presented in Canada and the cuts seem OK. It’s a one hour show here, aired with commercials on the cable channel “Space” (Canada’s “SyFy”).
As for the cost per episode, $10 million sounds huge, but keep in mind that CBS has also licensed it to Netflix pretty much globally (everywhere except the US and Canada). Not sure why Canada is the oddball here (STD isn’t on Netflix Canada yet *and* we’re blocked from getting CBS All Access). It would be slightly more convenient if it was on Netflix, but I just PVR it on Space and skip the ads.
The only issue I’ve had is that they screwed up the live airing of the first double episode. It bugged me a bit that it was filled with ads, comedians (they flipped between annoying US and slightly less annoying Canadian “hosts”) and they repeated portions of the show I had just seen. However, the real problem is that it went overtime and they encoded the wrong show title for the last segment, which means my PVR recorded all but the last 10 minutes. Thankfully someone shared the CBS All Access version as a torrent.
You probably can’t use the phrase “we’ve cut all the corners” for a phone (52:05). They already cut all the corners on Battlestar Galactica.
Clearly, I stand corrected. Guess I’ve never dismantled my Oculus enough to see that the cable is removable.
Regarding the sponsor, RoboForm, I’ve used them for more than a decade! The Everywhere subscription is the way to go. Randomized passwords and the Emergency Contact for me are the best features, aside from the ability for it to sync on everything so when passwords change you’re not stuck with “I guess I can only log in on my other computer”. The only browser they don’t support is Edge. It logs into Windows applications as well in most circumstances!
