  1. Captain Scarlet is the Gerry Anderson show referenced in the discussion. An Angel Interceptor pilot cosplay is so cool, I loved this show growing up and I need to go back and rewatch it along with his UFO live action series.

  2. NYCC taking over NY? It has been for a while! We fit right in! A few years ago, I dressed as Geoff the robot from the Craig Ferguson show, so I am wearing a metal mohawk skullcap and no pants. I am standing on a street corner near the Javitz and there’s your typical street preacher guy next to me. A woman and her family walk up to wait for the light. I swear to God I could tell she was from Missouri on vacation (don’t ask how I knew, it was the aesthetic). She glances at me, glances down at my no-pants, looks at crazy preacher guy and has this horrified look on her face.

I just looked at her with a broad grin and said “Welcome to New York!” and headed off to the Javitz.

  3. Often when I watch these pod cast (which I love those on this site and Adam’s Twitter) I find myself asking what Will Smith brings to the table. He uses foul language, is very often wrong on facts and is quite rude to the other host. All of the podcast that he is in he is the same way. Surely I’m not the only one that things this?

  4. Anyone who doesn’t know about it and has the opportunity, get yourself to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. It’s huge, they have an amazing collection, they put on all kinds of demos and other hands-on activities, and they do superb visiting exhibitions.

Looked their website just now to grab a link and this weekend (30-31 Nov 2019) there’s a whole thing about action heroes with stunt fighting demos, and on the 5th they’re doing a showing of Die Hard.

It’s an amazing resource and unlike, the London Tower, it’s not super crowded so you can really spend time with the artefacts.
