  1. Glad you mentioned the theatre was really a character itself. The interior of the theatre is Elgin Theatre and the exterior is Massey Hall, both beautiful places in Toronto. The “Baltimore docks” were down by lakeshore, and the apartments and some exteriors were here in Hamilton. GDT films around here a lot, but this was one of the more obvious times he’s featured locations I know and love so prominently and beautifully.

  2. “Fuck cats.” Seriously , tempted to make a GIF of that and sic the live kitten cam watching community on you, just for the lolz. Actually, something to be said for not using either the cat or the dog as nothing more than a plot device. Such a lazy way to attempt to heighten tension.

  3. My wife and I use the Location sharing thing all the time. It gets ride of the “where are you/how long are you going to be” texts, which both of us hate doing.

  4. I believe this movie would be just as interesting if the romance was not included & the action was just about the people and the base and having the creature ” behind the scene” s ??? am i alone in this

  5. What did you guys think about the guy in the pie shop? I thought it was interesting that the worker ended up being a monster when he was revealed, but the “monster” was a beautiful creature. Probably some commentary on human to human relationships that went way over my head…. haha

  6. I’m from the french-speaking province of Québec in Canada.

Inuit people have 40 different words for “snow”. We, on the other hand, have 2 for “cold”.

The regular “Froid”, meaning “cold”, and the colorful “Frette”, pronounced as a guitar fret, meaning “F…ng cold”. As in “Y fait frette à matin!” (It’s f..ing cold this morning)

As one of our most leading poet once said: “My country, it is not a country, it’s winter”. Mon pays, ce n’est pas un pays, c’est l’hiver.
