  1. There’s something so satisfying about watching a handcrafted soldering station build. Question, is that a pneumatic stapler or nail gun that you’re using?

  2.   That’s a Forstner bit on a drill press. They are typically used to either remove a lot of material before finish routing, or for specific diameter applications like the one here.

  3. One thing that I don’t think I saw there, and if you haven’t used it before, it will change your life – Soldering flux gel. You can get it in syringe applicator form and it makes soldering so much more enjoyable and can greatly improve the quality of your solder joints.

  4. Dear Makers of America. Please go metric. It will become second nature in no time at all and then the rest of the country will be forced to follow.

  5. Step 1: Use the battery as the weight to keep it bottom-heavy.

Step 2: Observe that you shouldn’t leave the battery plugged into the adapter.

  6. What are those jumbo clamps on the ends of the Loc-Line? I’ve only seen the tiny alligator clips that are hard to operate with gloves on.

  7. I was pretty disappointed that you did not put a link to the aftermarket Dewalt Battery Adapter with the 12V Output for the soldering iron on your YouTube video. Personally, I have preferred a propane-powered iron for basic soldering, car stereo and heat-shrink purposes for the past 15+ years, but I am converting to Dewalt 20V tools and this would be a perfect solution.

There are two (2) different ones on Amazon that I found – This one was the cheapest and also had a cable adapter so you could hook up other 12V accessories by splicing is here (feel free to edit and add Tested’s affiliate Link!

  8. Oh, a bandsaw with a narrow blade was already on my wish list, now it definitely is. Also I now want a pin nailer too. Watching Tested.com is getting expensive!

I need to go look for some of those “helping hands” clips too. I could only find tiny ones last time I tried.

  9. I think meant the tool used in the very next shot. I’m also curious what that is.The one with the crank.

Might a Rothenberger Compact Flaring Tool. I tried to post a link, but the formatter won’t let me. You can find them at Grainger.
