Adam Savage’s One Day Builds: Foam Ringwraith Gauntlet!

This week’s One Day Build is a collaboration with new Tested contributor Bill Doran, aka Punished Props! Bill visits Adam’s workshop to help make a replica of Adam’s Ringwraith Gauntlets using thin sheets of foam, showing the versatility and accessibility of this popular cosplay material! 1. So nice to see Bill Doran on a 1 day build with Adam. Would love to see more of these 2 working together.

  2. That was great! I’ve never even thought about sharpening a blade like that, but what a great idea…can anyone identify the brand of sharpener?

  3. When Adam slams his hands on the table right before the sting we get to see a before and after shot of Joey’s colour grading technique. Love it!

  4. Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. This was really great. I’m super stoked to make more great videos with the crew for you guys. =D

  5. Adam and friends, I’ve seen your tool organization/storage obsession and mold making. There are tons of videos showing mechanics cutting out foam to fit tools in drawers, is it possible to pour silicone in a drawer full of tools to do the same thing as the foam? 6. Most mold-making silicones have a limited shelf-life and are susceptible to light, air, temperature and so on. To make sure they last, they need to be stored at a stable temperature, preferably in a airtight bag or box, out of the light (which tbf, a drawer inlay would be).

Otherwise, depending on the silicone, they can leak oil, get brittle, etc. so I am not sure they are the best choice for tool storage.
