Adam Savage’s Favorite Tools: Blow Dryer Oven!
One of the most useful tools from Adam’s modelmaking days at ILM was the trusty blow dryer. Adam’s preferred one is the iconic Conair Yellow Bird, which is one of the few things he wants at arms reach by the workbench. And when paired with a simple cardboard box, it makes for an effective oven for quickly drying primer and paint on his models and props! What are some of your favorite household tools that end up being used in the workshop?

I like the demerit badges. Rather than a traditional patch, I’d be interested in the same size fridge magnet. It can be stuck on toolboxes, workbenches, etc. Kinda like I’ve hung up items I’d mistakes with, to remind me not to do the same thing again.
The families old electric sonic toothbrush has a permanent home on my workbench. The brush heads can be changed out for different solvents as well as bristle stiffness. Cutting the bristles down creates a stiffer bristle for finer polishing. Compact, waterproof, and most importantly – dummy proof. Great little workbench tool.
