Ask Adam: Interacting with Famous People

In this Ask Adam, Adam answers ignorantForager’s question: “What’s the best way to interact with famous people that you might see in public? I don’t want to interrupt whatever they’re doing, but I also don’t want to miss out on a chance to meet them.”

  1. Great question and Adam nailed the answer.

I think it just comes down to not letting your excitement to meet someone override common sense and general good manners.

  2. Hey Adam, I landed my first job as a maker recently and naturally I’ve been learning loads of new things, and while a lot of the work is super fun, there are a few new skills that have been kicking my ass.

With that in mind, what’s a new skill / thing that you’ve really enjoyed getting your teeth into recently, and on the flip side what new thing have you been struggling to get your head around?

Thanks as ever for the videos and the wisdom.
    George

  3. #askadamsavage Hey Adam, I have a fledgling prop business and am starting to produce small runs of garage kits. As someone who has made many yourself, do you have any advice, as there is a difference between trading such items between friends and suddenly having a ‘product’ to sell?

    Kind Regards

  4. Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I really appreciate your advice. I will keep it in mind for the unlikely chance that I actually one day meet someone famous. Thanks again!

  5. Adam: Do you have a “purge” schedule / habit to help manage your collection. We all know people that get overwhelmed with by their stuff? My wife and have purged twice a year for the last 5 years and its been a huge assist in managing our belongings.
