Noisebridge’s Live-Streaming Arcade Cabinet!

At the San Francisco makerspace Noisebridge, members have been working on a stand-up arcade cabinet with built-in support for classic console controllers and automatically streams gameplay and video to Twitch and YouTube! We chat with Mark Willson, one of the project members of the Noisebridge Gaming Archivists Live Arcade Cabinet to see how NGALAC works!

  2. Inspiring stuff. I’m currently making a cabinet using things I have in my garage. I’m not sure which generic joysticks to use. I’m not too bothered about specialist controllers (designed for individual games), I just need something that plays old arcade games (pac-man, golden axe, street fighter) as well as NES, SNES games. Any thoughts?

  3. Hey there, thanks for the kind words! I believe we used the Seimitsu ls-32 joysticks and Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons for this! And if you are further curious, they are hooked up to an I-PAC 2 board. They seem to work really well so far!
