Real-Life Professor Farnsworth from Futurama!
Good news, everyone! After creating the lifelike Zoidberg costume for us earlier this year, effects artist Frank Ippolito takes on another makeup challenge from the world of Futurama. This time, it’s Professor Farnsworth! Watch Frank bring the professor to life with sculpting, molding, and casting of prosthetics, and then applying the makeup on an actor to unveil at the Tested stage show! Excellent work, Frank!
I wanna see Zoidberg and Farnsworth just walking around together, bantering. Possibly at a con in the future maybe?
This sounds like an amazing project.
I put up a bunch of behind the scenes photos here too! http://www.tested.com/art/makers/467278-photo-gallery-making-farnsworth-project/
Cool! Can’t wait for the Premium video.
Hey , when are we gonna see a Leela or Bender?
Simply amazing, Frank! 😎👍
.
It’s also nice to see our first bit of video from The Live Tested Show at the Castro Theater..
That’s freaking awesome. Great make up!!! Loved the video.
He looks so much like a real old man it’s creeping me out! Amazing job!
I thought Norm was going to announce the new Dacia Sandero after that introduction.
Pros at work making dumb stuff! My kind of party.
The Dacia Sandero you say?! How exciting! Aaanyway…
I chatted with Chuck at the bar meetup afterwards, nice guy, really loves Dr. Who.
Frank told me off for not eating at Fat Heads in Pittsburgh since I live just outside it.
That makeup was really something. Frank is a master of his craft.
But I do feel that the actor brought something as well. The movements of his mouth and eyes gave the character life.
That is really amazing!
Awesome! Not a bad impersonation either!
Hey, you guys made it to http://www.geekologie.com/
LMAO
Great Job Frank, thanks for awesome post and behind the scenes pics Norm! These FX based, costume, sculpting posts are fantastic.
Frank, was this using Smooth On silicone Echo Flex 30 for the facial appliances? Smooth On is the best, love their stuff.
Awesome job, looks good
