Show and Tell: Tron Arcade Cabinet Miniature Model

Pinball fanatic Jeremy Williams stops by the office once again to share one of his first projects: a custom Tron arcade game miniature that he created to replace the one in his Tron: Legacy pinball machine. The authentic animation on this replica’s tiny screen is just amazing!

  1. At first I thought that scan/tracking effect on the OLED was just a by product of camera vs screen refresh rates but now I’m wondering if its actually because of the slow processor?

Either way somehow that actually makes it look even more awesome if that is even possible.

  2. Any place to buy pinball “toys” for just a desk display? Or, could you release the laser cut files for your modified case and a list of components we would need to make one from scratch, Jeremy? Awesome build. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Awesome video! Between this & the pixelated wall-art, I’d live to see more of Jeremy and his projects. He’s great on camera and it’s nice to see fresh faces on Tested every once in a while.

  4. Oh man… if you could link the pinball high scores to the high scores listed in the mini-arcade game… mind=blown!

  5. Seriously cool stuff. The amount of work to fix a small detail like that is right up my alley. Everything you’ve shown from Jeremy so far has been great content.

  6. Glad you guys liked it. (I loved recording these videos, so thanks for having me, Tested.) I should have mentioned, it runs on 5V and makes a great desk toy, should any of you feel industrious enough to build some. The plans are on my site:
