  1. I’ll admit i’m a little confused, isnt ep 1 phantom menace? or is he doing what he does with Indiana Jones and all the movies being called raiders.

But apart from that LOVE this stuff and the FBI story is great and the bullet from mythbusters is one of my favorite moments.

  2. If you are referring to the FBI story: after he had finished working on The Phantom Menace and the movie had been released, Adam was working for a different company (Master Replicas) making SW replicas based on reference images and stuff from Lucasfilm. One of those props was the thermal detonator.

When the FBI agent googled “thermal detonator” he found out it was an item from RoTJ. He then googled Adam’s name and found he had worked on Ep.1, so he deduced that Adam had to be working on some project involving Star Wars props. I.e. Adam wasn’t making the thermal detonator *for* RoTJ or Episode One, only a replica of that prop 🙂

  3. Does anyone know what Japanese model kit magazine Adam was referring to? That sounds awesome.

EDIT: I found it. GAKKEN is the company that made the one on the right while Otona no Kagaku also makes similar model kits/magazines.

  4. Those knives aren’t as great as you might think. They are pretty great compared to most, but you can get much, much better knives. I’ve seen em break under torture tests pretty quickly. Awesome for civilian use, but I would probably want something a bit more durable when in country. No disrespect to Rangers, or the guy responsible for the knives, of course!

Also, I’d love a link to those DnD dice.

  5. I know there is no way to go over all of this, but I hope Norm took some pictures. Went through this video a couple of extra times to look at the background, there is some incredible stuff still back there especially Abe’s trunk from Hellboy and I see he got that clay tablet he was after. (and it worries me that I knew what much of it was before you talked about it)

  6. Aaahhh… This is wonderful. I can’t tell you how sweet these videos are for me.

    Thanks, Norm, Joey and Adam.

  7. Yes, there is some amazing stuff in there, I really thought the FBI story was going to be something like ‘the NSA hears everything we say”. I do have to say that he considers that ‘uncluttered’ is amazing though.

  8. Another awesome show. So much info of fun stuff. So what’s the deal with the Fiat 500 model, my son who loves them, as well as all things Myth/Tested related, is wondering? Thanks to all involved. This site just keeps getting better and more informative everyday.

  9. Dear Norm, please pass this on to Adam. If he doesn’t own one of these already, he needs one. The Nagra SN sound recorder originally built for the CIA by Kudelski. It’s about the size of a thin paperback, automatic level control and runs on 2 AA’s. I’m also a Curta owner and lover of fine craftmanship and engineering and this is one of my all time favorite possessions.

  10. I remember seeing a curta on Pawn Stars a while back, even with a bit of wear and tear on it, he paid something like $700. Some of those ebayers are nuts, though.

  11. I always look forward to seeing more of Adams collections! I also love when he does the recorded builds, its like maker porn!

  12. and if you’d like the ring adams wearing on his right hand, its my replica of the Nathan Drake’s ring from the Uncharted series, which is available on shapeways as well:

Original version (Adams is a sterling silver one of these)

Uncharted 3 Version (made to match its appearance in uncharted 3)

    http://shpws.me/llB3

it was absoutely nuts to discover him wearing it….he’s worn it on the show as well….

  13. I completely lost my **** when I saw that Thermal Detonator!!

The sound it makes is a stroke of genius 😀

  14. Dear Norm, please pass this on to Adam. If he doesn’t own one of these already, he needs one. The Nagra SN sound recorder originally built for the CIA by Kudelski. Oh wow! I love the look of that recorder. Very cool.

  15. I love these types of videos where Adam shows off his vast collection of cool things..

I can’t wait to to see the rest of his office, and the rest of his man cave..

  16. I was wondering. In fact I registered just to ask. The fob watch on the shelf below the knives, is it a replica/prop from something? Or is it similar to the Japanese Medical Doll?

  17. I would like to point out the elephant in the room, theres a Glamdring sword in the corner. Either that or its the other one that got broken then got fixed. Im smart.

  18. Hey adam/tested just looking around adams AMAZING office and its hard not to notice that adam has a keen eye for quality and detail (same as me), getting to the point, there is a knife made by a man called stan wilson who makes a folding knife called a non flipper flipper, its a highly technical piece of machinary and i think that adam could apreshiate another art piece to his collection.

  19. What is the significance of the F.H. Ayres croquet ball that is front and center, but never talked about?

  20. did

Is that a real Oscar statuette?

i know right, i wouldn’t be surprised if he got it on line, but I’m intrigued
