I need some HD DVD help

  • So I have an HD DVD version of Planet Earth that was bought a while ago by mistake, the Blu-Ray version was the intention. The HD DVD disc has been laying around for a while with no means of watching it. I would like to know if there is any possible way to get the video off of the HD DVD disc and on to a hard drive perhaps. Or is it impossible to read an HD DVD disc without a proper HD DVD drive?

    Thanks for any help.

Well that stinks. I have no idea what to do with this movie then. Maybe I can sell it on ebay for a few dollars or something.   : (

    Thanks anyways.
  • Do you own a 360?
Or if you want pick up a cheap hd dvd addon for 360 there are hacks for it to connect it to computers.

I just looked up the drives on ebay and it looks like it will be about $50 for one. Not so sure I wanna pay fifty bucks for one movie. Maybe if I can find one for even cheaper, I'll go this route. Until then my Planet Earth will remain neglected.   :P
