Adhesive advice

  • First post, glad to be here.

Long story short, I heat my home exclusively with wood heat. So after two years of sticking my face into the firebox to blow on the kindling to get it going, I've elected to construct a set of bellows. Could buy a set, but where would the fun in that be?

Anyway, my query is: what is a good adhesive to glue the fake leather to the wooden paddles? I'm going to add some brass snap buttons for aesthetics, but the overall air tightness will come from the adhesive bond.

    Thanks!

  • Not sure about the glue, I gues a good contact cement should do the trick.

I'd add a frame to press the leather. like a sandwitch. Wooden paddle / leather / brass frame. fixed with screws.
