Meet the 2016 BattleBots!

The new season of BattleBots premieres this week! We were on set during the filming of this year’s BattleBots, and met with some of the teams, old a new, backstage in the builder’s pit area. Meet their new bots!

  1. Really excited for this season of Battlebots, especially after watching the first episode of season 2 they aired about a month ago.

  2. Looking forward to this season but i’m not looking forward with all the editing fluff they use to fill an hour episode when the actual content, the bios and the actual fights, take up probably only 15-20 minutes. This was the case last season and I’m not holding my breath they did anything to actually make good use of the hour.

  3. Nice. So there will be two Wyachii bots in there this year. Since we already saw Son of Wyachii in the qualifying rounds (I would not want to get in the way of that bot).

  4. Totally agree. I learned more about each of the robots from Norm’s tested video
last time than I did in the whole of the Battlebots series. I bet it’ll be the
same for this season. I’m also looking forward to the new Robot Wars UK
(August?) – Dara O Briain should be entertaining and hopefully they have less
filler guff than the US version.

  5. hey I would like to see BattleBots tonight but i live in the Netherlands so does anyone know if you can stream it on the internet or something so I can see it

  6. Ahhh – thought it probably would be. There are nefarious ways of getting it I’m sure but I seem to remember people posting cut down versions of the show with just the fights on youtube. (like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBkEMZg1iqQ&list=PLDe0CguuqcMD6Ee3rQfJBkUCKzilzx1lF)

To be honest, with the excellent behind the scenes videos from Norm and co you are not missing much otherwise.

(Edit: apart from the excellent guest judge appearances from Mr Adam Savage of course! My humble apologies Mr Savage Sir…
