Bandai Cup Noodle Model Kit?!? Let’s Build It!

Let’s have some fun building one of the most unique model kits we’ve ever encountered! Bandai makes a 1/1 (officially licensed!) replica of the iconic Cup Noodles instant ramen meal, complete with the plastic representations of the dehydrated instant noodles inside! Sean and Norm put this snap-fit kit together with some modifications as well, using Lacquer-Stiks to bring out the lettering and a paint wash for the noodles. A far cry from Gundam or Star Wars kits, but Bandai’s injection molding prowess is on full display here!

Adam’s Aluminum Foil Ball Cut In Half! (Ft. Waterjet Channel)

In March 2022, Adam created a shiny solid sphere of aluminum using just a roll of standard foil wrap — the so-called tin foil ball challenge (https://youtu.be/q_YZX1SgZ5Y). Curious what the inside of the final ball looked like, Adam tried — and failed — to cut it in half himself. Tested viewers suggested we call in the experts at Waterjet Channel to help instead, and so we did! Here’s the interior of the foil ball, per our new friends at Waterjet Channel! (Thank you, guys!)

Adam times his entire process, from build through actual filming, while Corridor takes on the same scene, using visual effects instead. Which scene recreation do you think took longer and/or looks better? Be sure to watch Corridor’s version of this build, and please let us know which scene we should take on for the next Practical vs. FX Challenge!
