Microsoft finally has announced details on its Surface tablet's pricing. Available in stores October 26th--the day Windows 8 is released--the Windows RT version of Surface will start at $500 for a 32GB model and $600 for a 32GB model bundled with a black Touch Cover. A 64GB model is only available in a Touch Cover bundle for $700. Touch Covers themselves will sell for $120 in five colors, and the black Type Cover is priced at $130. No word on the availability or pricing of the Ultrabook-specced x86 Pro model of the Surface.
Surface RT is available for pre-order now at the Microsoft store, and will also be sold on Oct 26th at 34 pop-up stores around the US and Canada. Surface RT also comes bundled with the new Office 2013 RT designed for Metro "The New Windows Experience".
