LG Builds 2,560x1440 Display for Smartphones

I was mistaken when I said smartphones wouldn't benefit from having 1920x1080 displays--the HTC One's screen looks wonderful and its full HD screen doesn't destroy battery life--but I'm pretty confident in saying that phones really don't need 2,560x1,440 resolution displays. Doesn't matter, because LG has made one anyway, sized at 5.5 inches with a pixel density of 538 PPI. That puts it more in the small tablet than phone category, but let's hope this is more of a show of manufacturing prowess than an indication of future products.
