Sorry, no high-end product announcements yet, for those of you waiting for word of the EOS 70D or 7D Mark II. But Canon has just announced two new Rebel entry-level DSLR cameras and a new PowerShot point and shoot. First, the SX280 point and shoot is notable because it's the first Canon product to use its new DIGIC 6 processor, which allows for faster auto-focus and a 14fps shooting speed. Expect the chip to be in this year's new DSLRs. The Rebel T5i is barely an upgrade over the T4i, but comes with Canon's new stepper motor EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. Finally, the Rebel SL1 is an interesting product because it's a tiny DSLR. Basically an EOS-M in a very compact DSLR body, with the capability of using EF-S and EF lenses. This could be the future of the Rebel series.
