Beneath These Planes

By Norman Chan

A photo show to check out if you're in New York.

Jeffrey Milstein's photographs of the underbellies of iconic aircraft are gorgeous. The photos are taken just as the planes land, when they are exactly perpendicular to the camera's line of sight. The backgrounds are removed and details accentuated to make these jets look like they're frozen in time. Kinda like entomological insect mounting, but for aircraft. Milstein's photos will be on display at New York's AIPAD photography show in April.
