This could prove critical for Nintendo in staving off increasing competition from the mobile phone gaming market still stuck in 2D. Nintendo's mobile gaming market share dropped from 75% to 70% between 2008 and 2009 (in terms of revenue), while the iPhone's share grew to 19%.
