Thermaltake and BMW Team Up to Design One Wicked Mouse

By Wesley Fenlon

We haven't seen a gaming mouse as wicked as the Level 10 M since the Cyborg R.A.T. 7.

Here's one piece of technology we wish we could've gone hands-on with at CES 2012: the Thermaltake Level 10 M mouse, a mechanical work of art dreamed up by BMW's DesignWorksUSA. DesignWorks is no stranger to the electronics industry: in 2011 they worked on a Sennheiser headset and some seriously outlandish Thermaltake Level 10 PC cases.

The Level 10 M gives us Cyborg R.A.T. 7 flashbacks, but DesignWorksUSA's balance of silver, black and red makes the mouse look more elegant accessory and less metal monstrosity. BMW hollowed out the Level 10's mouse body to make its palmrest adjustable in both height and angle. The top of the mouse is even perforated to allow air to flow up into sweaty palms.

Thermaltake hasn't said a word about the mouse's buttons, programmability, sensor or pricing. If the mouse feels as good as it looks, this will be one awesome gaming mouse. And if it doesn't, we still wouldn't mind having it on a desk just for eye candy.
