The Home Office of 2001 (circa 1967)By Norman Chan "With equipment like this in the home of the future, we may not have to go to work. The work would come to us." Matt Novak of Smithsonian's Paleofuture blog uploaded three short clips from this 1967 episode of the CBS show "The 21st Century", in which Walter Cronkite gives a tour of what a home would look like in 2001. This clips are awfully prescient, anticipating 3D TVs, teleconferencing, and helper robots. Also predicted are housewares "molded on demand"--they're talking about 3D printing!
