Google Project Glass 2.0?

By Norman Chan

Nothing but patent speculation.

A new patent filed by Google introduces the concept of projecting virtual touchpads and graphical user interfaces onto arms and hands. It looks similar to MIT Media Lab's SixthSense prototype, but instead of a projector worn on a lanyard around your neck, Google's laser projection system would be mounted to its Project Glass smart spectacles. It's not a feature that Google has hinted at with the first (or developer) release of Glass, but something we can easily imagine being incorporated into future iterations.
