Tiny Backpacks Tap into Dragonflies' Brains
From National Geographic: "Scientists are placing computer chip backpacks on dragonflies to record the insects' brain activity as they fly and capture prey. Researchers hope the data they collect will reveal more about how the brain controls body movement." Engineers designing these backpacks have to be careful about the weight of the payload, which at 40 milligrams, is as heavy as a few grains of rice.
