How did Edison find the time in the day to invent all that stuff? Well, he sure as hell didn’t waste it sleeping. Edison was notorious for his hatred of sleep, believing it to be a holdover from caveman times, and trained his body to operate on just four to five hours a night. He made up the difference by taking micro-naps during the day whenever he felt tired. Interestingly enough, some argue that Edison’s championing of electric light might have permanently altered the way human beings sleep.
