Yo! I'm the editor of Tested, so welcome to my profile. I'm into killing zombies, drinking good coffee, figuring out how stuff works (and how to make it better) and Corgis (dogs, not toys). In addition to Tested, I'm the former Editor in Chief of Maximum PC. I've written for tons of publications, including Ars Technica (where I was an editor from 1999 - 2000), Gizmodo, Mac|Life, Official Xbox Magazine, PC Gamer, and Wired. The weirdest thing I've ever tested is probably for a story on high-end squirt guns for Wired, which included a giant water balloon mortar.

Here are my Google Profile and my Twitter. Don't send me stuff on Facebook.

My first computer was a TI-99/4A, which I used to play Parsec and learn enough BASIC to be dangerous. I cut my teeth on Apple ]['s at my school, and eventually got a 386SX 25MHz to take to college with me--it was a Wang. From there, I graduated to an AST Pentium 60, and a series of increasingly speedy homebuilt machines after that.

I'm currently running a Core i7 920 with 6GB of DDR3, a 60GB Samsung SSD and a 1.5TB hard drive, a pair of Radeon 5870s, in a Silverstone Raven I case at home. My laptop is a MacBook Pro 12-inch, and my desktop machine at work is a Core 2 Quad 9800 with a GeForce GTX 280.
