Good luck on your next adventure, Will!
@Vexxan: I doubt it
@Vexxan: About an hour after making that post I started messing around with the configuration on our core switch. All of our documentation said that you could only monitor ports in the same vlan. Turns out the Cisco documentation for our device was wrong? So with Fa0/12 in VLAN1, I was able to monitor Ports Fa0/3, Fa0/22 and Fa0/23 despite each of those being different VLANs.
According to the stuff I have it shouldn't work, but we're picking up all the traffic from those 3 VLANs on our IDS sensor.
@Vexxan: What's wrong with that ratio? Sounds awesome to me. 16:9 sucks for web browsing.
Based on the title I'd say Will is making a gun, lol.
...the lower receiver to an AR-15. Will I don't think that would be a very good idea.
Great video, would love to see you guys geek out over more stuff :)
Mind Blown when they explained that adapter.
@Vexxan: It was done by @narkeeso . I don't know if he's a top man. Jury is still out.
@Vexxan: I had that one too. Had good times at Space Camp with it as well; had to build a robot that used all the sensors to accomplish various tasks in a scaled down shuttle atmosphere. Lots of fun, and the PC program was pretty simple/easy to use.
Went through 3 browsers but my blockhead self is finally visible in my previous comment.
Looks good, nice idea with the 8 bit controller.
@Vexxan: How did you add in the black outline? Was that in the template and I screwed it up or is it a layer style I'm missing.?
@Vexxan: huh sounds like this needs to go into the bug report
@Vexxan: Yeah, yours is not showing up for me as well. that's strange.
@Vexxan: how big is the file. It wouldn't let me upload my 7mb PNG.
@Vexxan: Cheaper now, than ever before: http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2011/12/does-it-feel-like-lego-bricks-just-keep-getting-more-expensive/
@Vexxan: I live in Canada and I bought a Yamikasi 2703 from Bigclothcraft on EBay in July and have been super happy with it. There was no problem shipping to Canada and the monitor arrived at my door from Korea in 3 days. They ask you how much you want them to declare on the customs form. If memory serves I ended up paying $22 in duties.
I wrote a forum post with my impressions a while back and you can find it here: http://www.tested.com/forums/pc-and-mac/83268-cheap-korean-27-ips-monitors/
@Vexxan: I know there are people in Canada who have bought them--you might be able to message a seller and work out a deal. From what I've read, I recall customs fees potentially being a bit of a complication in other countries. I didn't have any issues in the US.
@Vexxan: It will pop up the next time the page refreshes. I don't think notification updates are AJAXed out to users.
@Vexxan: Huh. I wonder, did that use to work in the past? I never commented on articles enough to earn replies there, I don't think.
What about forum posts? Did you get a notification for this one or is it broken again..?
@Vexxan: I was one of those people who had an iPod Touch without a smartphone. I still had 2 years left in my contract so I didn't see a point in spending the money to buy an iPhone and paying extra for the data plan (also, I got the iPod Touch at a slight discount). Now that I do have an iPhone I haven't touched my iPod Touch, but I understand why people buy the iPod Touch.
@Vexxan: they did a couple similar to this one. the Galaxy S 2 ad and the Galaxy Note Super Bowl ad were both very similar.
@Vexxan: haven't seen the standard issue Vader helmet
I love how he almost knocks him over out of enthusiasm :D
