Hmm.. when i play the movie in fullscreen on my Macbook Pro Retina, the whole system shuts down - don´t know if it is something generel with my settings, but pretty odd though :-S

  • Ustrup commented on Play Tested: Dungeon Roll Dice Game From Kickstarter

The things that you find when i delve down the dungeon, are they like spells you can use on each level and such ?

    - Sounds like a nice game to get newcomers into board-gaming, going to preorder it :)

  • Ustrup commented on How To Build a Kick-Ass Gaming PC (2013)

Amazing video guys, was wondering when you were doing another build :-)

I don´t own a gaming rig at the moment, have been preparing to build one for some time now. So my primary computer is

    • 13" MAcbook Air
    • 128 GB-SSD Harddrive
    • 1,7 i5 Processor
    • 4 GB 1333 DDR
    • HD4000 GFX

Have been wanting to build a real gaming PC but have been delaying it to see what the next gen consoles can supply :-)

If i buy this Phone while visiting family who live in the US- can i then use it when i get back to Denmark - or is there something with the network preventing me from that?

  • Ustrup commented on Tested Test Drives the Tesla Model S Electric Car

Amazing car, and what amazing technology powering the car.

It´s a good thing that people like Christian Huffmann dare take the leap into using a car as the Tesla-S and show us how well it actually works. But also entrepreneurs as Elon Musk who venture in the automobile industry and take the gas-industry head-on with sustainable energy.

I live in Denmark, and honestly dont understand why these kinds of vehicles aren't more popular where you can go from one end of the country (Skagen) to the other end (Copenhagen) and not drive more than 520km(324Miles) I know that it's a big investment with the charging stations but still..

  • Ustrup commented on MakerBot Mystery Build: Figure it Out!

Would be amazing if you guys made a video og you playing a game of "Pocket Tactics" ! in my opinion the best Maker-Bot build yet !

  • Ustrup commented on Any official twitter # ?

Is there any official twitter hashtag where tested users discuss all-things-tech? Been wondering about it for some time now, and with the pending launch of the iPhone-5 i would love to tweet with other tested fans meanwhile :-)

  • Ustrup commented on Quick Look at Three Simple Devices to Make Your Life Easier

Loke these kinds of videos ! A "Gadget of the week" feature would be amazing !

It could e.g. be a video in which sub 20 dollar "everyday" gadgets gets a review, then the users could rate which one is the winner or something in that vicinity. It could be a good way for smaller gadget companies to get their products "out there" and ensure a flood of gadgets to the "Tested HQ"

Am i the only one who would find this usefull ?

  • Ustrup commented on The History of LEGO, Beautifully Animated

We danes dont have much to be proud of, but Lego is for sure one of the few things we can be proud of - If any of you ever visit Denmark, then be sure to visit "Lego-Land" in Billund, well worth the time...

  • Ustrup commented on Apple's Olympic Commercials

@Conmused: I was thinking the exact same thing! From a marketing standpoint there are great, but from the tech-savvy consumers view, they are horrific.

All in all i think they are great, they are humorous, cater to a specific segment (your parents as you mention), they arent to complicated and last but not least, they are short and pretty well acted.

I honestly dont understand what all the fuss is about. The only thing I see as a problem with the commercials, is that they to some extent exclude the "Evangelists" that Apple traditionally have relied on to promote their products - but once again the argument as to where it was aired, who it is aimed at and so on "saves" the ads.

@Conmused: Have you studied marketing of some sort?

Lets just asume that they have found the Higgs boson, what ever it might be, what can it be used for ? :-S

  • Ustrup commented on Norm and Nexus 7

    @zmaster said:

can't decide if I should preorder this, or hold out for more news on the surface

I am kind of with you on that one- the way i look at the Nexus tablet is that it is positioned as your "media-buddy" on the go, where the surface tablets are meant to replace a whole laptop. If you should buy the Nexus tablet, i see no wrong in purchasing the Surface-pro when it hits the stores in a couple of months.

Is there any rumors yet as to what the Surface-Pro price will be ?

  • Ustrup commented on Norm and Nexus 7

@Artso: The thing is, that if I order fram Amazon UK and the the packagede gets picked out in customs check, then i end out paying the same as i would in Denmark, and it would be nice excuse for a weekend trip as well ;)

@ebritt: I get this error message:

Ah okay then its about 1500 Dkr (250 Dollars) just as it is estimated to be in Denmark but when the Danish tax and tarifs is added, I will be surprised if it dosent end up in about £240 og £250

  • Ustrup commented on Norm and Nexus 7

@ebritt: Do you have any idea what the final price will be in the UK ? I cannot find any definitive price in denmark, and as to it is just over the pond i could consider spending a weekend in London while buying the tablet :-) I am almost sure that an additional 100-150 dollars will get put onto the price when buying in denmark so the trip from Denmark to London almost pays for itself :-)

  • Ustrup commented on Valve to Release Source Filmmaker Machinima Tool

Looking forward to see what people can make with it - how amazing is it that 3D animation is not so readable available to everyone, imagine this kind of tool being available 10 years ago or so ...

    Well played valve.. well played...

  • Ustrup commented on The Summer Project

Ah okay thanks for the @Rallier, i was hoping for an easy way into HTML through Photoshop and Dreamweaver. But yeah, the best way might be through Lynda.com tutorials and CodeCademy.com :-)

Once again thanks for the information, Have an amazing summer :-)

  • Ustrup commented on The Summer Project

    Dear Tested.com Crew

So i just passed my last exam this friday and i am now officially in summer-vacation mode, i have already gotten myself a summer job to earn me some extra cash, but i want to learn something computer related as well. I have some minor experience in Photoshop as well as some HTML could these two things in some way be combined to learn how to make websites ?

I can remember some years ago i heard talk of being able to create full functioning websites through Photoshop CS3, is this still posible, and if it is, could someone point towards the right book/website were i can dig into it during the summer.

Hope everyone is having an amazing weekend.

    Best regards

    UstruP

Would it be possible to chose computer @Wadawoodo links to, and just use an external GPU ?

Although not having a USB 3.0 or thunderbolt port could this be possible in some way ?
