2012 Gear Lust List: Six Devices I Want to Buy This Year.
I'm still rocking the original iPad so I'll probably jump on the 3. And if the next iPhone comes to tmobile I'll be all over that as well. I was thinking of buying a new MacBook but there seems to be a bunch of smaller cool things coming out that I would rather spend it on. Maybe I'll do that SSD thing that Will made a tutorial on.

I think it looks nicer than the old ones. I have the lighted case for the 3 and it basically doubles the thickness and makes it much more heavy. Sometimes I'll take it out of the case to use if I'm not using the light.

My grandmother is looking at SLRs. I might point her towards this. There doesn't seem to really be any drawbacks besides having a proprietary sony mount.

@Lurkero: Exactly. I'm pretty sure DT basically wants to sell Tmo US anyway. If DT is getting the 4 billion that money may not even go to Tmo anyway. Something needs to happen with T-Mobile though. Man, it seems kind of disappointing. It is a first gen device though, maybe the next version will be a bit better.I'm excited to see the kindle touch though. I didn't jump in and buy the 79 dollar one yet so I want to see how the touch is.

Nice review, basically what I expected it to be. I have a kindle 3 and really have no urge to upgrade past the newness of something new. Too many awesome games to buy to want this right now.

I'm torn on the Touch or the normal ol kindle. I feel like the kindle would barely be an upgrade from the 3. My real factor here is the hardware page turning though, I kind of want that.

Hmmmmmmm, I don't know if I want the touch, or the kindle. It seems like if I just got the kindle, it wouldn't be a big upgrade from my 3. Just a smaller form factor and having something newer. Not too sure, I do like the size of the kindle, it looks really small. Kind of don't want to buy another lighted case though.
