    @Addfwyn: I think the D3000 is a bit more appealing than the D60 for the only fact that is has 8 more AF points.  As a D60 owner, I'm envious.    The 35mm f1.8 is a great prime Nikkor lens as well.  $200 i think?

    Well, as a "Nikon guy" im going to have to go ahead and disagree with you on basically everything.   Lol, no, but the Rebel XS has 7 points of AF to the D3000's 11, both have 3 frames per second continuous shooting, and the Rebel XS is only .02 ounces lighter than the D3000.    I'll concede that the built in motor is an attractive feature that makes Canon's interesting.  I ...
