The Phantom Tollbooth was made into a movie? How I was I never informed? I've kept my copy from 4th grade just to pass it down to my kids cause how great it was.

Please Help! » Volume on laptop speakers
My older laptop had great speakers tho. To the point that I while I waiting for the first Tested livestream to get up and running, someone came over thought I had someone in my bedroom(which is two floors above). These speakers I can barely be more than 3 feet apart before I have to strain. I know they could go louder because using VLC I raise the volume to 400% and it sounds great without any loss of quality. It's annoying inconvenience to have to download every possible I'm watching just to go the VLC route. I would also like something software based, mainly cause carrying around speakers isn't really portable.

Please Help! » Volume on laptop speakers
Is there a way I can access a deeper volume settings on the computer? I get the factory settings kept the volume hard capped at a very low rate. I have a Toshiba Satellite L505 if that helps. (Win 7) It's quite an annoying experience to only be able to hear by having to make sure there's no background noise.

I helped out get some TF2 nights going. But, I feel a tad uncomfortable setting those up. I would love to try weird obscure games with plenty of people, but at the same time, "hey every one, TF2 friday" is a lot easier to do. I would love to RTS matches, or DOTA games like Heroes of Newerth. Or even fps, like Unreal Tournament.
Secondly, another thing I hated, was I felt like I was calling attention to myself trying to set these up. Which is why I was constantly hoping someone else would take the reins. Instead, I've been watching movies with my girlfriend lately. FYI, Sexy Beast. Incredible movie.

When I did my photoshop for the fail retro interactive art experience, I spent a good 20 minutes looking through Will's photos. Eventually you'll find the Tested logo on a white background. Interesting thing I noticed was that the logo had googley eyes, I always just thought it was dots. Hope you much success in whatever venture you are attempting.

My iPod 30 gig 5th Gen (4 years old) and my Dell notebook (5 years) died within the span of a month of each other recently. So, I'm currently a bit concerned as to what's the "proper" way of disposing of these dead beasts. It seems unethical to just toss it into the garbage, and with the laptop, I feel tossing it with the hard drive inside is even more dangerous. So what have you done to dispose of electronics?

My pacifistic ways is slightly encouraged by the use of hackers to fight a non-violent war. The paranoid in me feels this will not end well. A couple days ago, a user mentioned having his gmail hacked by the chinese. If we truly had "cyber wars", I can truly just imagining this inconveniencing citizens and putting their identity in dangers. But what do I know >_>

Hm, this is rather bizarre. Out of curiosity without being overtly personal, what type of websites did you use your email on? I've never experienced a hacking and if they did they wouldn't really find much beyond replies I get from the forums. So color me intrigued.

@ebritt: So I looked and this is what I found. As for the neat Tech Demos part. Sure, but at the same time, all these videos have a download link next to them with the source and engines, so other people in that "scene" could see what tricks they did and innovate further. So, quite possibly we won't see anything truly crazy for years to come. I mean, I saw the Mario Bros theme song being played on a copy machine. I can only imagine what will come in the future.
