For gaming the AMD processor is fine. It's the graphics card that matters, so saving ~$100 and buying a Phenom is not a bad idea. Both the CPU and motherboard will be cheaper.

Honestly, it's a bad idea to delete the pagefile. The pagefile regulates virtual memory, and without virtual memory your system could get unstable when using a lot of RAM.
