So I have heard stories and ravings about improving my comcast internet speeds by getting a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. I don't really have many techie friends who might verify this for me, and I don't really want to blow the money if it's not going to make much difference. Anyone have experience with this? Did you see a noticeable increase when you upgraded?

@Vetterli: well that certainly would be a cheaper option if I could easily get to an Ikea, the only one in the region would cost me more than $20 to get to after gas and ferry cost, so buying this one on amazon with prime shipping was a pretty good option.
