That is quite a bit of work just for one cup of coffee.

The knowledge of coffee, by Will Smith. Dude, seem to know just a little too much about coffee.

Anywayz, I like my hot cup of joe made the easy way! The times I've tried out the more "advanced" techniques when making coffee, it just takes away too much of the bitterness.

@Rallier: Well, for what it's worth, it's about the same prep time as it takes me to make a whole pot of coffee. However, I usually only drink one (admittedly large) cup, so the Aeropress lets me do that without wasting a bunch of coffee.

I only drink one maybe two cups a day. So this is helpful. Has to taste better then what i get right now. Ill order one right now lol Thanks!

I'm a huge fan of press coffee.  Really is the perfect thing, especially for someone who doesn't drink a lot of coffee and really just wants the one fantastic cup now and again.  Might actually pick this one up, looks tidier than a lot of alternatives.

Coffee is all well and good but the only hot drink for 'real' men is tea. God I love tea, can we please have a tea making video?
lilburtonboy7489on March 31, 2010 at 10:20 a.m.
hm...never even heard of it before

I just asked my wife to get it for me for my birthday :)

Thanks for the video!

25 grams for 10 oz of coffee? I use about 25 grams per 40oz of water in my drip maker. Yikes.

Mmmm... Coffee coffee coffee.... <shifty eyes>... coffee time now.

Love the deviation from tech! Great video, although I don't drink coffe.
RJPon March 31, 2010 at 10:40 a.m.
Hm. I do like me some coffee. Especially when it's perfect. I'll have to try this out some time.

Will Smith should have his own coffee making TV show... I'd watch, he as on screen charisma.

1. It looks like a breast pump.
2. American's obsession with coffee baffles me.
3. Embrace tea, your life in improve in orders of magnitude.*

*that part may not be true.

Too much work, in my eyes. I just put up with crappy coffee from a coffee maker at home and then a treat when I go out and buy it in town.

Great video. This combined with the other stuff you have put out, both video and text, has made me realize Tested will quickly become a site I visit daily!

Awesome! Just ordered myself an AeroPress thanks to this video; any particular ground coffee you'd recommend that I can get in the UK? (Will have to get myself a grinder at another point)

So true. In fact, it's pretty insane just how much video content the Whiskey Media sites put out per week - especially when you consider their (relative) small size.

WOW! I did not know people could be so anal about making a cup of coffee. I mean to each their own and all but i think i will just stick with a spoon full of coffee mix, two to three spoonfuls of sugar and a touch of milk or some flavored coffee mate.Tastes just as good as any coffee shop bought stuff.

I've been a proud owner of an aeropress espresso maker for about a year now and I actually think it's the best purchase I ever made. It makes incredibly delicious coffee, it's stupidly easy to use and clean, and it's actually much faster than drip coffee. Thanks, however, for a few tips that I didn't think of before. I will try them out for tomorrow's breakfast coffee and see how it goes.
