Oh, that is awesome. One of those bottom three free spaces should get "Spelling and/or pronunciation of a product discussed." and also "Alternative names for a product." I think.
@MAGZine: The javascript i'm working on (hitting my head against) is actually something different, it's to make a different stamp appear on a case every-time you press it.
Your idea would make it more like actual bingo but since the podcast is not live i ended up simply adding every thing on one card. Plus i'd need to set up a mySQL database and have a server that runs PHP which i don't have.
@Rallier: You have the design done, which was the headache part for me. We can put our awesome-moderator powers together to make testedbingo.com... with your design and my code! (I have webhosting, with PHP and SQL).
If that's fine by you, of course. There is certainly nothing wrong with a JS version.
e: just read your other post in the other thread and realized what you were saying. I gotcha. I still think it'd be cool to get this working legit!
@MAGZine: Sounds like a plan. I think the best would be to have 2 versions, one like it is now with all the cases and a second like you are proposing that is an actual "real" bingo ticket.
For the actual bingo version i'll have to change the css coding because right now the number of cases displays depends on the width of the screen. Also i will need to "optimize" them if they are to be put on a actual server.
Any way first of i need to figure out this JS head ache.
It would probably be a good idea to host this somewhere like Github. It would make easier for people to get at all the code at once, as well as submit patches.
Stamps are now random and can be undone thanks to LtdSquiggs and Magz. I added an "about" section, it might need some slight rewriting but it looks the part i'd say. I also added some more of the propositions of this thread.
@MAGZine: here is a slightly reworked version of "mega bingo" that is just wide enough for 5 squares, the background looks off due to all the squares showing 5 wide but it should be a good base for you to make it into a actual random bingo card. I'll have to remake the background specifically for this narrower version to get pengwill at his place again. There is also a link on there to "mega-bingo" if you still plan making testedbingo.com (vice versa on mega-bingo). I should remake the header for that name thinking of it.
If you can set up a FTP at some point i'll be able to update that when needed.
Fixed an image that was not correctly linked, made a specific background for the smaller version, redid the header image to say "tested bingo" also changed up the text in about a bit, still not great though.
I think another free square should be 'tested bingo card mentioned'.
You mean like randomly pick cards from a array and put x number of them on the page?
@Rallier: I saw you were trying to do it in JS, but my approach would be:
have all of the phrases in an SQL database
tell SQL to select between 0, 25, ordered randomly.
Take the 25 elements, and place them as they were returned to me on the array.
(25 elements, 5 rows and 5 columns).

@notgary: I'll keep that site in mind for an eventual future project, i'd say that with this we've crossed the worst part.
Revised some stuff

Shouldn't it have the same amount of rows as it does columns?

Yeah 5x5. That is what Magz is planning to do later on using PHP, making it a different card every time you refresh the page.
Don't know if this has been brought up already, but Gary mentioning his Hollywood screenwriting endeavors. No offense, Gary, but it's true.
going back and listening to old podcasts how is "hello batman/minority report mention" not on this bingo card :o
Oh my i completely forgot about this, i really should finish it at some point.
@Rallier: If you would like some coding help (or potentially a JS ringer), let me know. I'd be glad to help out.
Tested Podcast Bingo would also make a good drinking game.
We better bust out these old chestnuts.
It should be more of a countdown timer for some things. I.E.: TIME TILL THAT'S RACIST, SOMEONE CALL IT
@AlwaysBeClothing: You could not have a bingo card big enough for the Oktobercast.
I just passed my javascript roadblock. from here one it is smooth sailing!
I'm about to wrap up v1.0 does anyone have more ideas for bingo squares?
@Rallier: Everytime a new guest is rotated in?
Declaration is made
Someone wanders into the podcast area
Dead Air (or So, what should we talk about?)
"For the children"
@AlwaysBeClothing: i added them in, which makes 37.

Its funny that this was said 4 months ago, and yet is still true in recent podcast times. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT GARY'S GOING TO DO NEXT
@AlwaysBeClothing: The nazi references made quite a comeback recently indeed. That spoiler tag really could use some fixing...
