Streaming Issues

  • Hey guys,

I got a new computer around three weeks ago, and ever since then I can't properly stream videos - they get stuck midway although the buffer bar looks like it's fully loaded, as if my connection stutters, but it works properly for everything else ( downloads, games, etc. ). I tried uninstalling and re-installing Chrome and Flash, clearing cache, cookies, and anything I can think of but it doesn't help. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64. If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @Salabrin: It could be your internet connection is just not fast enough for streaming videos. Is this in all streaming videos? Youtube? Whiskey? Justin.tv? Etc.

  • Yup. And it's not my connection, videos stream fine on my other computer on the same connection.

Sounds like its cutting of the stream halfway trough (just as if you would put your pc to sleep (at least when I do that I always get that)). But since chrome and flash have been having some issues lately you might want to try a different browser for starters.
  • Tried Firefox, same issue.

  • @Salabrin: Is this a wired or wireless connection?

  • @Salabrin:

Just to clearify, is this with all videos you watch on the net? or just one source?

  • All of them. Same for streaming audio, like podcasts, by the way.
