I recently purchased a new Corsair Tx series 650m power supply. After installing it into my computer I had the convenient problem of all the fans spinning then stopping after a few seconds, repeating in an endless cycle. I have no idea what should be wrong here, the PSU indeed works after testing it. I really don't understand how I have a problem when my other 300w power supply works without a problem. I have an acer microATX mobo ( I know nothing else about this piece of shit) an i5 2300k 2.8 ghz processor and I'm using onboard video as of now as well. I honestly have no fucking idea what the problem is, considering my other PSU works. Is it a compatibility issue with the mobo? Someone help me out here this is killing me.
Are you sure you don't have a stray wire causing a short somewhere? I tend to do this every time I build a PC.Go back and re-seat everything and see if that helps.

How did you test the TX-650 to confirm it is actually working and not faulty?

I jumped it with a paperclip. Unfortunately I don't have any fans with molex connectors so I can't see if this thing works under load.
That's not really testing that the PSU is fully functioning. You'd test it's properly working by putting it in another machine.
Was anything else in the build changed? If yes then make sure you put everything back together properly.
Have you made double sure you've plugged the PSU in correctly in correctly? If yes then it's likely a faulty PSU.

Yes, I have. I guess I may as well RMA this thing just to find out.
