Everytime I try to play Netflix on my MacBook Air it will load until 98% and then stop loading, with no progress made in over an hour of waiting. I have tried, Chrome, Firefox and Safari, so I don't think it is a browser issue, and I can also play Netflix on my iPhone connected to the same network. I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution. I have the stock MacBook Air mid-2011 version with Lion if that helps. Any and all assistance would be appreciated.
Maybe try reinstalling Microsoft Silverlight?
Might be Silverlight, like the previous poster mentioned... have you tried calling / emailing Netflix?
I had the same problem: the solution for me was to right-click the red loading screen for Silverlight options, then check Hardware Accelerated Playback under the Playback tab.
