I'm hoping to receive mine by the end of the week, if not early/mid next week. It'll be a nice step up from my Captivate and after having ICS flashed on it for the last day or so I'm excited to see a fully working version on a much better phone.
I'm not even going to bother with the Galaxy Nexus, the lack of SD card slot is a huge turn off, 16GB of space just isn't enough these days... I'll be waiting for the HTC Edge to be released with Tegra 3 goodness. My aging Atrix will have to do until then.
To add to this, I usually carry a couple extra 32GB micro SDHC cards with various media on them hidden under the battery, mostly music (in FLAC format, since I'm too lazy to convert them all to MP3) but when we go visit friends to watch movies, I also load up a bunch of 1080p movies onto my phone's micro SD card and bring along my phone's HDMI cable and play the movies through the phone, saves me from lugging around a bunch of Bluray disks (and my Bluray player depending on where we're going since some of them don't own a Bluray player). It's just much more convenient...
I have had the Galaxy Nexus for just over a week and am delighted with it so far. The only con so far has been the battery life but this may because my old phone was a dumb feature phone and the battery lasting usually 2 days. Currently charging every night with just under 20% left by the time I go to bed.
Apart from that I am very impressed with ICS on the nexus. It feels very snappy and not had a problem so far.
the lack of SD card slot not bothered me so far but as I'm new to Android I am slowly build my collection of apps so not requiring much space.
My favorite feature so far is when you receive a call is the option to reject a call and straight away send the caller a precanned message such as "Can't talk just now. Will call you later"
One thing i noticed straight away was the size of the thing. This a big phone but thin enough that you get use to it really quickly.
How does the build quality feel? I heard it had some aluminium chassis but it seemed like a cop-out to it being made out of plastic.
In response to the storage thing: games, music, movies, comic books (in some cases) will take the biggest chunk out of your storage. I've been quite happy with my 16GB Nexus S though I usually do some spring cleaning whenever I get close to filling it.
@HeadNodShy: It all plastic as far as I can tell but I'm happy with the build quailty so far. Even so the first thing I noticed was the size of the screen.
Any more questions I would be happy to answer for you guys
@HeadNodShy: All apps I have downloaded look fine unsure if ICS is upscaling them. Words with Friends, Twitter, Facebook, Doggcaster, and ACV all look like 720p. Noticed with some contact pictures are low res. Just means i need to take or get better pictures for my contacts.
From the lock screen the first time you load the camera it took about 2 seconds to load the camera but after this less than a second. Once the camera app is loaded pressing the button takes a picture with millisecond delay. Also touch to focus takes very little time.
The voice control and search is only on the home screen that I have discovered so far but there is option when ever the keyboard is displayed to dictate your text. Which works okay with my scottish acent.

Yeah I can see that being a big turn off -- it's a shame they did that but I was hearing rumors about the no sd card slot had more to do with developers for apps, and making it so they didn't need to make it compatible with an sd card and without (i.e., if someone downloaded an app and stored the larger files on their sd cards, the devs would need to make sure that the app would still run without the sd card inserted). I don't listen to much music on the go anymore -- I seem to have a lot of podcasts that I prefer and I keep maybe 200-300 songs on my phone for whenever. I also have a 6gb data plan on my phone so I can stream some music from youtube or whatever and not sweat it.
Gigolo81 -- I was just wondering how you feel about the glass? do you have it protected? I'm a little upset about the lack of gorilla glass and ordered a screen protector off zagg (50% cyber monday sale :D). I'm still up in the air about whether or not I'll use it. I'm definitely getting a case...

I'm against putting a case or a screen protector on my devices. In my opinion they ruin the feel of the screen and make the phone thicker. In 2011 phones should be built sturdy enough and Samsung usually does a good job.

Yeah I didn't notice that video -- I have no experience with Samsung's "reinforced glass" but I do with Gorilla Glass so for all I know Samsung's glass could have been as strong as the iPhone 4's glass.. and thats.. well. I feel uneasy handling an iPhone 4. I throw my captivate around no problem.
It's shipped from England this morning and hopefully should arrive Friday :)
Has anyone gotten one yet / is getting one soon?

I'm surprised that there doesn't seem to be much excitement for this phone here on Tested - it seems like an awesome phone!
I live in Sweden and my carrier is telling me that I will get it on 8th of December... Can't wait!
I'm excited, as I might be getting one.
... but right now it would cost me nearly $900 to get one. That said, excitement for the GN is at an all time low.
I'd love to get one but I'm worried about the battery life and I don't think it'll be available in Canada for another month.

@Gigolo81: Happy to hear you're liking it :D

@Gigolo81: Do apps look lower res compared to the rest of the UI (since most apps aren't made for 720p screens)?
How quick would you say going from the lockscreen to the camera app to taking a picture is?
Is the only way to get to Voice Search or Voice Actions through the homescreen?

If you've got anymore let me know.
@Gigolo81: That's all for now. Thanks for answering some of my questions :)

@coopersy: I was think about getting a screen protector but after seeing the video @Artso: posted I am not going to buy any screen protection or case.
