Good video, guys.  Out of curiosity, what is your opinion on the usefulness of skins such as Sense or the not-Blur on the Droid X?  Does it improve the experience enough to overcome the stall in updates?

The second I saw R2D2 on the Droid 2, I knew I was going to wait for that. I really hope I don't end up regretting passing up on the Droid X and Incredible.

Why you don't put your phone in your shirt pocket.

Very nice video guys. Just makes me want the phone more. I'm going to have to see if there is any way at all I can convince the people at Verizon to get me some kind of discount on it so I don't have to pay full price.

I don't think there is any way I could walk around comfortably with that in my pocket.

Damn all these new videos getting me excited for a new phone I don't get until November!

One MAJOR improvement that the Droid 2 has over the Droid X is that (According to Engadget and Phandroid) the Droid 2 will have Froyo at launch in a few weeks.

I'm loving my X. For those worried about size, it is big, but for some reason i don't even feel it in my pocket. I wear regular fit jeans. It has a fantastic balance. It's thin enough as well that it's not much of a bother. you don't notice the bulge at all. As long as you're weary that you have a phone on you, like wearing glasses, you will be fine. Also, it is solo to one pocket, i recommend that.

Why is your natural inclination to put the phone in upside down? That's odd to me. Anyway, like @caseofthemondays , I've had no problems with it in my pocket. I'm kind of a bigger guy, so maybe my jeans just have more room, but it's not obtrusive at all. Plus, having that camera bulge at the top gives you something to grab when you're pulling it out of your pocket.

@jvpde: Really depends. As Android becomes more mature, it will be less of a problem. I haven't spent enough time using Sense or Blur to really know if they add enough that it's worth a stall.

After thinking about it more, I always put my iPhone in my pocket top up, because I frequently have headphones plugged into it.

This is my first Android phone (I was previously using an iPhone 3G) and so far I love it. The size of the phone hasn't been a problem for me at all (although I too am a bigger guy who wears loose fitting jeans) and the added real estate that the larger screen provides has come in handy when going online. Now if the Android Market would get a better selection of games then I'd be set (although the emulation apps go a long way in helping tide me over until then)!

Too bad there's no physical keyboard (and d-pad) to play them with though.

This looks like an awesome phone. Nice and powerful.

I've owned 8 smartphones this year alone and the X is probably my favorite one of them all. The screen size does wonders for virtual keyboards. I don't think I can ever go back to a sub 4" screen phone ever again.

Man I have to buy some type of Verizon compatible Droid phone by the middle of next month and I can't decide. Plus I think I'm going to have to do a deal where you buy two for less and a contract, and sadly the only Droid phone they offer a deal like that on is the regular one by Motorola (yuck).

I'm not one of those guys that wears skinny jeans. I like to actually use my pockets instead of having them just be decoration for my already uncomfortable pants. So the camera bulge will cause zero issues for anybody who thinks of functionality first when it to comes to wearing clothing.
