hey guys,

just wondering, and i apologise if this has been asked before but: I am thinking of getting an iPhone but have been put off by it not having bluetooth pic transfer and stuff like that and also i am confused as to whether theres is a 32GB version out there as i thought it was just 8gb and 16gb.

I live in the uk and so would like to know:

Is there an app that lets you blue tooth photos via iPhone?

is there a 32GB version available in UK?

are they worth it?

Currently i have a Samsung Omina and it is doing my box in with the crappy touch screen ands windows mobile 6.1 is just terrible.

Thanks for the info!

Yes, something like Bluetooth Photo Share should be OK.

Yep, only the iPhone 3GS though, there is no 32GB model of the 3G.

Are they worth it?
Re 32GB of storage; no, not really - 8GB has been perfect for me, but if you imagine yourself using more 16GB will probably be sufficient.
Re iPhones in general; they're great quality, really well built, work flawlessly and have some fantastic applications, if that's what your after and you don't care about Apple's policies, then definitely. If you want something a bit more open, then take a look at the HTC Desire (running Android).

Either way, I'd recommend you wait until June, Apple will likely announce a new version of the iPhone then and HTC seem to release a new Android phone every month or so.

Thanks for advice theBeast, i currently have a 32GB iPod Touch which has all of my music on it so a iPhone that has that would be most useful, one less device to carry about! thanks again!

I'd have to disagree. I also have an 8GB iPhone and I find it far too small. Even 32GB leaves a little to be desired, but then again I have A LOT of music.

As far as the phone goes, if third party apps are something that interest you the iPhone really can't be beat. Android phones are picking up a lot of steam lately though, and they are continuing to get more and more third party support. I'm with TheBeast though. If you can, wait. See what Apple plans to do to keep a relevant position in the phone market (I imagine we'll see a new iPhone with or around the time of the launch of OS4), then see how their competition responds.

@FakePlasticTree: Fair enough - I tend not to take all of music with me, I'll usually just put a bunch of podcasts a few albums and a couple of films on my iPhone before I travel, and that's enough for me - can certainly see why larger sizes work for you though.

Well my contract is up in August with my current phone so i will not upgrade and see what happens, on a 24 month contract at mo so would really like to reduce that to 18 or even 12 months.

Also i have all of my music on a 32GB iPod Touch along with podcasts so I would like to keep that going and have just one device. It makes sense really....
