On both AT&T's own site and Amazon, the two big Windows Phone 7.5 devices to be released this month for America are on backorder.
A few months ago the projected release date for all new 7.5 phones was the end of October, but that was pushed back by a month. It's possible that it took Samsung and/or HTC longer than expected to make a reasonable amount of units. So, they launched with "just enough". Or, demand is simply higher than anyone expected. The one cent deals everywhere certainly helped matters.
As a fanboy, of course I'm going to choose to believe the later scenario. Hopefully we'll get some solid-ish numbers by CES so we know just how well Windows Phone is doing out of the gate the second time around.
I think alot of the ATT stores only got a few units in. A couple I went to didn't even have Titan on black Friday. However the Microsoft store I got my titan from had quite a few. This family of 3 all got Titans. It was cool to see so many windows phones being sold. Next windows phone I get will be from a Microsoft store. The employees are genuinely enthused about the product and you won't be hassled to buy android or iPhone.
@Dusk: Awwww, so jelly. There aren't any stores currently here in Florida. But, when Microsoft showed a map of the US of where they plan on putting stores, there were like four or five in Florida, and a couple not too far from me. I'll definitely want to go to one to get some Nokia hotness next year if at all possible.

I wish I could have gotten a focus, I suppose their really wont bee any point to upgrading for about two years though.
I'll probably get a Nokia Windows 8 phone at that point.
